Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare Dr Jamal Nasir, has called out medical superintendents for their attitude towards patients, urging them to treat the ailing community with politeness and prioritise addressing their problems.
Speaking at the 10th Chief Executive Officers Health Conference, Dr Nasir stressed the need for health facilities to adopt a patient-centric approach and regularly monitor their services.
He also emphasized the importance of transparency, requesting that a list of available medicines be displayed in hospitals for patient awareness. Dr Nasir announced plans to set up medical screening camps.
Minister of Specialized Healthcare, Prof Javed Akram, called for strengthening primary and secondary healthcare systems at a local level to reduce the burden on teaching hospitals.
