Mob Justice: 2 ‘thieves’ caught from mosque

FAISALABAD: Local residents captured and beat two thieves accused of stealing things from mosques in the area. A large group of Jaranwala residents said that they caught two thieves trying to steal a fan that belonged to the Jama Masjid Ghausia Sisajia during Friday prayers. The locals held the men and beat them, while police was called to the scene. Police officials arrived at the mosque three hours later and arrested the two men on charges of theft. Area residents said that the men were drug addicts and had also been selling drugs outside the mosque. Police officials have registered a case and arrested the men.
