Illicit relationship: Woman kills husband with nephew’s help

The two murdered the victim, Acchar, with a sharp-edge weapon, say police

Police said on Tuesday that they had made a major breakthrough by arresting the wife and a nephew of a man who was found murdered at his residence in Zaman Town on February 12.

Police said that they had reviewed the call detail record (CDR) of the victim’s wife and found that she had been in contact with the victim’s nephew.

The two were subsequently arrested and confessed to the murder during interrogation.

Police added that the woman had an illicit relationship with her husband’s nephew. The two murdered the victim, Acchar, with a sharp-edge weapon. Police added that they were searching for the murder weapon.

They said that the wife, now the prime suspect, had tried to implicate her ‘rival’ in her murder complaint.

Earlier this month, the police arrested main suspect in the murder of a man whose torso and limb were found hidden in different areas near the graveyard in Paposh Nagar.

Police said that the victim's wife was responsible for the murder while an accomplice helped her escape.

They said the accomplice was in custody and they had information regarding the whereabouts of the woman.

Paposh Nagar police had found the body parts that were later identified to have belonged to Shahbaz Achakzai, who lived with his and three children in Frontier Colony.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Achakzai's wife, Feroza, had been missing since the incident.
