According to the fundraising profile of Vaseela-e-Raah on GoFundMe, the donation campaign, organised by Shanzeh Aslam, the singer's niece, aims to "collect funds for Hadiqa Kiani's campaign to aid Pakistani flood victims. The mission is to collect $200,000 and build 200 sustainable homes for victims in Balochistan and expand efforts from there to the other cities adopted."

Prior to this, the Hona Tha Pyaar crooner took to Twitter and shared her plans to construct a primary school, grocery store and maternity centre for flood victims. She wrote, "Grateful to share progress! Inshallah we will not only complete our goal of 200 homes but we will also have a Vaseela-e-Raah primary school, grocery store and a maternity center all because of your help and donations."

In October 2022, Kiani also detailed her experience of having visited flood-hit regions, she urged, “At this point, we need to focus on construction and reconstruction. Right now, they are shelter-less, winter is coming and the water is stagnant. If there are people who can go on the ground and pull out the water somehow, they must do that because it’s spreading a lot of diseases.”

The Dobara actor added, “We are sleeping comfortably in our beds, eating dinner, lunch, doing everything. It doesn’t impact us. But right now, those people don’t even have roofs over their heads, the kids are battling infections — skin infections, stomach infections — the things I’ve seen with my own eyes, I can’t even express.”
