Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Azam Khan Swati and Muhammad Khan Madani underwent medical examinations on the orders of Lahore High Court Bahawalpur Bench Senior Justice Anwaarul Haq Pannun.
The court had instructed the medical superintendent of Bahawal Victoria Hospital to establish a medical board after the two leaders filed a writ petition about medical and B-class facilities in jail.
The petition was submitted by members of the Insaf Lawyers Forum, including Saqib Tariq Chaudhry, Sheikh Mazhar Akbar, Sikandar Hayat Nangana, and Raza Hussain Lodhi advocates.
The leaders were transferred from the Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalpur jails to the hospital for the medical check-up.
Advocate Saqib Chaudhry met Azam Swati and Muhammad Khan Madani.
