Anum Fayyaz, known for her acting in many popular dramas such as Beqadar and Yeh Chahatein Yeh Shiddatein, recently announced that she has quit showbiz to follow a 'more Islamic lifestyle'. The actor, while issuing a statement on her social media, shared that her 'difficult' decision would also reflect on her social media presence.

"This is a difficult message to send since you all have been so supportive of my media career," the former star began. "I have decided to leave the industry and follow more of an Islamic lifestyle and have taken steps to have my digital presence reflect this lifestyle. I kindly ask you all to keep me in your prayers as I go on this journey. Thank you so much for your never-ending love and support."

The actor made her debut in Ahmed Habib Ki Betiyan. She then went on to essay numerous supporting roles in recent hit dramas as well. Fayyaz had established herself as a promising young artist. However, for quite some time, the actor had been laying low on social media and hinted at her new religious journey by posting hijab-clad pictures of herself.

After the post circulated online, many famous personalities rushed to the comment section and extended support. "Anum, I just want to tell you that I’m so happy to see your beautiful journey towards the real success that is the guidance of Allah. May God give you rewards for this decision. Ameen. God is great!" penned Syeda Bushra Iqbal. Actor Wahaj Ali also commented on the post, lauding his colleagues' choice. "MashaAllah," said the Tere Bin star.
