Ally fears another attack on Imran
Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said that there are chances of another attack on Imran Khan in the next 60 days; the attack will happen by April 30 because there is an international conspiracy.
While holding a press conference in Lahore, he said that he had met Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.
He maintained that the media and I are standing by the truth. President Arif Alvi should give an election date by Monday (today) or resign; if he cannot give an immediate date of election, then he should better resume his dental practice.
Sheikh Rashid said that Defence Minister Khawaja Asif admitted that the country is bankrupt because of the establishment.
He predicted that all the major political decisions would be made by April 30, and said that only the Supreme Court of Pakistan could save the country from multiple crises.
Sheikh Rashid, while recounting days of his imprisonment, said that his eyes, hands, and feet were tied, and those who did this were not from the enemy country.
He added that the police officer gave him two blankets; he left half of the stuff in the prison. Blankets are needed not only in politics but also in jail, he added.
The AML chief said that “they have my phones, and I know who they are and who has the phone. They were asking me for my password, and I gave it to them.”
He added that I am not Arshad Sharif; I am Sheikh Rashid, and if I am killed, five people will be guilty, including Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The politician from the garrison city further said that everything that Asif Zardari did with Benazir Bhutto will be revealed in a book. A special box was made for Benazir’s car and taken out to kill her.
He expressed his concern over Imran Khan’s life and said that there may be another attack on Imran Khan in the next 60 days; the attack will happen by April 30 because there is an international conspiracy.
Sheikh Rashid was referring to the first attack on PTI chairman Imran Khan that occurred in Wazirabad on November 3, 2022. The assault on Imran was botched but the PTI chief suffered injuries.
It happened on the seventh day of Khan’s Haqeeqi Azaadi (real freedom) Long March that started from Lahore and proceeded on the GT Road through several towns and cities in Punjab before reaching its final destination, Islamabad.
The assassination attempt was a terrifying reminder of the December 27, 2007 assassination of Benazir Bhutto during one of her pre-2008 election rallies in Rawalpindi.
