BALAKOT:

A rare injured Cheetah was spotted near Khaghan Highway at Kiwai near Balakot and was observed to remain there for at least two hours.

According to sources, an injured cheetah was seen roaming around near Kaghan Highway. Curiosity drove both locals and tourists fearlessly to try to go near him to feed him food and water and to take selfies.

However, no one was able to go way too close due to the fear of getting attacked due to his constant roaring. Sources after taking details from the eyewitnesses revealed that he was allegedly injured due to the collision with a fast-moving car.

As soon as the videos and pictures of this injured cheetah spread on social media, the officials of the wildlife department and Kaghan Development Authority took notice and reached the scene.

The cheetah was rescued and shifted to Dhodial Pheasantry with the efforts of KDA and wildlife officials.

In this regard, Range Officer Wild Balakot Division said that the injured cheetah was currently safe and will receive the appropriate medical attention.
