The tortured body of a woman was found in the bushes at the Shershah graveyard on Friday, which was shifted to the Civil Hospital for medico-legal procedure.
Police identified the victim as 48-year-old Hamida. She was married to Ghulam Hussain and was a resident of Shah Latif Town.
Preliminary investigation suggested that the woman was apparently strangled to death at a different location, police said, and her body was brought to the graveyard where it was concealed in the bushes.
The body had bruises on the nose, police said, saying that it would have exact details after the post-mortem. The body was transferred to a morgue after identification with the help of biometrics.
Separately, a woman was stabbed to death and her son was injured inside their home near Cantt Bazaar on Drigh Road.
