Three injured as fight between kids escalates

Police contingent reached the spot to bring the situation under control

Three people, including a teenager, were injured when a clash, reportedly between children, escalated into a violent exchange between two groups in Pak Colony area on Sunday. The fight broke out between the two groups living near the Mewa Shah graveyard. Both sides used firearms and stones against each other.

At least three people, including Shahid, 15, Ghulam Mustafa, 33, and Ahsan, 23, were injured. They were shifted to the Civil Hospital for treatment. Area SHO Bhai Khan said that the fight started over a quarrel between children from the two groups a day earlier. On Sunday, youth from both sides came to blows after a staring match, he said. The exchange resulted in the area turning into a virtual battleground as they threw stones at each other and used firearms. A police contingent reached the spot to bring the situation under control.

Two injured A 28-year-old was injured after being hit by a stray bullet in the Saeedabad area on Sunday. He was taken to Civil Hospital. In a separate incident in New Karachi, 23-year-old Azeem Aziz was hit by a bullet and taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.
