Reddit thinks AI chatbots will not replace 'human connection'

Reddit thinks AI chatbots like ChatGPT will complement human connection instead of replacing it.

While all the leading companies are in a race to create the best AI-powered conversational chatbots, there is a growing fear of how things will look years down the lane.

Regarding this, the online discussion forum Reddit believes that the human connection element can not be replaced in any case.

In a statement given to The Verge, Reddit spokesperson Nick Singer said, “AI chatbot technologies are still new and something we’re exploring and keeping our eyes on. Though, there will always be a need for genuine community and human connection, which can be aided by tools like this. We see chatbots being used in fun and innovative ways to complement community and human connection — not replace it.”

As of now, Reddit itself is exploring the domain of AI-powered chatbots.
