Man shot dead in Pindi
Armed men shot and killed a man on Saturday. Police said that the suspects killed 25-year-old Wajid was killed in the limits of Ratta Amral police station and fled after committing the crime.
They added that the motive behind the killing has yet to be ascertained. A case has been registered and the police are looking into the case.
On the same day, at least eight people including women and children were injured in a gas explosion on Saturday in Shah Khalid Colony within the limits of the Airport police station in the garrison city.
According to a Rescue 1122 spokesperson, the incident took place early in the morning when the family members were busy preparing breakfast. He said the condition of a woman and two children is critical. He also said firefighters timely responded to the emergency call, brought the housefire under control, and shifted the injured to the Holy Family Hospital after providing first aid.
The spokesperson further said four fire tenders, three ambulances, and a special rescue vehicle participated in the rescue efforts. The injured include 36-year-old Uzma, 35-year-old Muhammad Shahbaz, 13-year-old Haseeb, Muhammad Tauseef, Muhammad Mugheez, Muhammad Atta Ullah, Rabia, and Muhammad Ali. The spokesperson also said the powerful explosion severely damaged the door and walls and gutted furniture, kitchenware, and other goods in the house.
Meanwhile, the police have also started an investigation into the matter.
In another incident, a man was injured during a quarrel over a car parking issue. Thirty-year-old Mudassir was taken to Benazir Bhutto Hospital. Police said that the man who opened fire at Mudassir fled after committing the crime and they are looking for them.
On the same day, unidentified assailants shot and injured 24-year-old Hasnain and fled into the slaughterhouse located in Ratta Amral.
