App offers regular iPhones virtual telephoto lens

App can be used on iPhones and iPad and is available for $12 per year

With its first update for 2023, the Halide app has launched a "Neural Telephoto" feature for non-pro iPhone users.

Regular iPhones have wide and ultrawide lenses with relatively poor zoom quality compared to telephoto lenses. To counter this issue, the new update of the Halide app uses an in-built machine learning system to ensure the best quality while zooming in the photos.

Although the results will still not be exactly like that of a physical telephoto lens, they will still be better.

Previously, the Halide app had launched a virtual 2x zoom for the iPhone 14 Pro series. The new update allowed users to zoom in further without compromising quality.

Through the new update, the Halide app aims to provide a better photography experience for regular iPhone users. The app can be used on iPhones and iPad. The app can be purchased for $12 per year.
