Afaq Ahmed case: MQM Haqiqi leader’s plea for bail adjourned again

KARACHI: The two cases filed by Afaq Ahmed, chief of his own faction of the Mohajir Qaumi Movement (Haqiqi), were adjourned indefinitely once again because lawyers boycotted the courts on Friday.

Ahmed filed an application seeking bail and a criminal revision application seeking to quash a FIR in respect to the murder of an activist of the rival Muttahida Qaumi Movement.

Both the applications were meant to be heard by the Sindh High Court’s Justice Muhammad Tasnim but lawyers boycotted court proceedings after a barrister was killed on Thursday morning. M Ilyas Khan and Muhammad Farooq are Ahmed’s lawyers in his seventh and last case for bail.
