Screenwriter Saima Akram Chaudhry, famous for her Ramazan drama serials, is back with another light-hearted family drama to air on screens during the holy month – and it will mark the return of celebrity couple Danish Taimor and Ayeza Khan on TV again.

On Sunday, Ayeza confirmed the news on her Instagram by posting a picture of the title page of her script for Chand Tara. “Just another chapter of my life,” she wrote and tagged director Danish Nawaz, Chaudhry, and her husband.

No other details of the serial have been revealed yet but users in the comment section guessed it’ll be a romantic comedy with Chand as Danish and Tara as Ayeza.

Chand Tara will be Danish’s first Ramazan play while Ayeza is already a maestro in the genre with her comical roles in the hit serials Chupke Chupke and Chaudhry & Sons – and she won multiple awards for the Osman Khalid Butt- starrer. While the duo individually kept doing projects on screen, Chand Tara will reunite them onscreen after 2020’s Meherposh.

The couple has previously starred in serials like Sari Bhool Hamari Thi, Shareek-e-Hayat, Kitni Girhain Baqi Hain and Meharposh. They also did a telefilm together titled Jab We Wed. Danish and Ayeza tied the knot in 2014 and have two children together; Hoorain and Rayaan Taimoor.

In a previous interview, Ayeza and Danish opened up on whether they get possessive of each other’s work and whether either of them asked the other to refuse a project despite that. To which, the duo very comfortably said no, adding that they always discuss their characters, cast and script but never with the intention of making a decision for the other.

“I’ve done several projects, including films where I’ve had to do romantic scenes. But she’s never stopped me from pursuing anything,” stated Danish. Meanwhile, Ayeza quipped, “I wanted to marry a hero; a man who is desired by several women in the world and I did. Now I don’t care who goes crazy about him. In fact, I enjoy it. I make sure he looks amazing when he walks out of the house.”

She also added how she looks up to her husband’s opinion on the projects she gets offered. “I’ve never refused a drama because of Danish but we do discuss our characters before taking them on. It’s not to seek his permission but because he has worked more than I have. He lets me know who I will be comfortable working with and where I won’t be able to adjust. If anything else was an issue, I wouldn’t have done Meray Paas Tum Ho,” she pointed out.
