Perturbed by rising incidents of crime, people in Sakrand held a symbolic funeral of the law. Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) organised a march from Journalist Chowk to DSP Sakrand office.

JSQM district Nawabshah deputy organiser Masood Shah, Khair Mohammad Lakho, Arbab Solangi, Daishi Alam Kairio, Sindh Taraqpasand Party leader Hussain Bakhsh Kairio, Sakrand Action Alliance leader Ayub Khoso and others said while talking to the media said police have failed to protect life and property of citizens.

For the past three months, the criminal elements have been committing robberies in the streets, shops and houses in the city with impunity. The robbers continue to defy the police and government but the law enforcement agencies seem helpless against them.

The protestors said they have protested outside the DSP office for the last two days and today on third day, they held a symbolic funeral of the law. They said it seems that law is dead and city has been left at the mercy of the criminals.

They said that citizens want nothing but peace in the city so that their lives and property are safe. This peace can only be established by law enforcement agencies. If peace is not established in the city by conducting a grand operation against the criminal elements and if the lives and property of the citizens are not protected, then the scope of the protest will be widened.
