Police are investigating at least two cases of pizza delivery men robbed after being called for serving orders.
A complainant, Hasan, told The Express Tribune that he was asked to deliver pizza order, but when he reached the B-Colony area near Pasha Chowk late at night, six youths on three motorcycles snatched the pizza worth Rs1,800 from him and escaped.
Hassan reported the incident in the South Cantonment police station.
In another incident, three men not only snatched pizza but also robbed the deliveryman of cash.
Muhammad Salman said he had gone to the Defence area with a pizza from a shop in Phase 6 when three youths snatched it from him. When he demanded money, the youths thrashed him and took away Rs10,000 from his pocket. Salman said that the price of the pizza was Rs3,000.
The police registered a case and started investigation.
Speaking to The Express Tribune, the Lahore Cantt Investigation SP said the robbers had called the delivery boys to the wrong address. He said the complainant had shared with the police the phone number from which the order had been placed. Investigators have made a sketch of the suspects with his help.
The official said the location and other details of the phone number provided to the police were being collected.
