Lahore. Caretaker Provincial Minister of Health Dr Javaid Akram has said a gynaecology and oncology society being registered in Punjab would play an important role in ensuring the provision of facilities to cancer patients and mothers and children.
The caretaker health minister said that Lahore General Hospital (LGH) was playing a fundamental role in the service of suffering humanity.
He expressed these views during a visit to the LGH on Saturday.
“We will try our best to provide better health facilities to the people of Punjab. Society of Gynecology and Oncology shall be duly registered with SECP,” Dr Javaid Akram said.
“Dr Sardar Zafar Al Farid will perform the duties of the president of the society. Society will play an important role in screening, prevention and vaccination. A curriculum committee will be formed under the society.”
