Bollywood actor Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul shared a series of dreamy pictures from their wedding in Khandala on Monday. The photos from the wedding ceremony show the bride and groom, clad in pale pink and ivory ensembles by Anamika Khanna. The couple has now shared some pictures from their fun-filled haldi ceremony.
The bride chose a Ritu Kumar rose gold anarkali unlike a quintessential yellow outfit while Rahul wore an ivory-coloured chikankari kurta. Sharing the photos from the ceremony, Athiya and Rahul wrote, “sukh (happiness)” in their captions.
Sharing the idea behind their marigold-themed haldi, the event planner, Rani Pink Love, shared, “When I met Athiya, I knew instinctively that this wedding was going to be special. Our aesthetics matched perfectly, there was balance, honesty and trust."
The post further read, "We knew how to feed off each other to create and build. Every layer of the decor was detailed and I can't tell you how much fun we had. The storyline for each day was different yet the foundation of our design stayed intact. The haldi was a blooming marigold garden with layers from floor to ceiling. We detailed every tiny corner. It was intimate and beautiful. The sun was shining, marigolds were dancing and there were two families celebrating love!”
The newlyweds announced their wedding on social media coupled with pictures from their big day. They captioned the post, "In your light, I learn how to love." The wedding post continued, "Today, with our most loved ones, we got married in the home that's given us immense joy and serenity. With a heart full of gratitude and love, we seek your blessings on this journey of togetherness."
Athiya and Rahul, who reportedly began dating in 2019, held pre-wedding events, including a sangeet, over the weekend. All were private affairs, like the wedding itself.
