Seminar on women’s health held

Problems of antenatal care, racism, gender-based violence, sexual harassment, and women's mental health discussed

PESHAWAR:

Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar’s Institute of Nursing Sciences organized a women health awareness seminar. The topic of the seminar was the role of healthy women in creating a healthy society.

The chief guest of the event was Prof Dr Ziaul Haq vice-chancellor of KMU. A large number of faculty and students of different nursing colleges in Peshawar also participated. In the seminar, PhD scholars elaborated on the problems of antenatal care, racism, gender-based violence, sexual harassment, and women's mental health.

The exhibition of posters related to women health was also arranged during the event, in which the participants showed keen interest.
