Six of a family injured in house fire, one dies
One of the six victims injured in a house fire in Orangi on Tuesday, died during treatment on Wednesday.
A man, Muhammad Bashir, had lit a stove to keep the house warm but a bottle of patrol lying nearby caught fire and exploded injuring his three sons and daughter-in-law Naureen Zeeshan. The woman died in the morning.
The deceased's body was handed over by the police to the heirs for burial after the legal proceedings. It should be noted that six members of the same family were burnt and injured due to the fire that broke out in the said house on Tuesday
SHO Iqbal Market Amin Mughal said that the family of a person named Bashir had lit a stove to avoid the cold. Meanwhile, a petrol bottle lying nearby fell, which ignited a fire, as a result of which the bed and other belongings also caught fire. The family put out the fire with the help of local residents.
While extinguishing the fire, the head of the house, 58-year-old Muhammad Bashir, was burnt to 30 per cent, while his three sons, 16-year-old Sufyan, 40 per cent; 18-year-old Hassan 100 per cent; 28-year-old Zeeshan, 70 per cent his wife Naureen Zeeshan, 60 per cent and their daughter Sonia, 20 per cent.
Doctors are trying to save the life of other injured.
