APML Meeting: ‘US supports fair polls’

LAHROE: US Embassy Political Councilor Daniel Harris visited the All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) office on Thursday and met APML spokesman Fawad Chaudhry and APML leader NaeemTahir. During the meeting, Harris congratulated the APML leadership on the party’s registration with the Election Commission of Pakistan and assured them that US believes in fair and transparent elections. Harris said that the people had the fundamental right to elect their leaders and the US is willing to work with any political party that comes to power through a fair electoral process in Pakistan. Asked about US drone attacks inside Pakistani territory, Harris said that the matter was under discussion with Pakistan’s government, adding that solution of all problems was possible through dialogues. APML student workers, minority representatives and women wing workers also met the US political councilor.
