KARACHI:

It has been recommended to change the existing colour scheme and tail design of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) planes once again.

According to sources, various design and colour scheme-based recommendations have been submitted to the Board of Directors by the management.

The picture of markhor on the aircraft tail and a new blue colour scheme were introduced in 2018. Later, this colour scheme was scrapped due to the public pressure and the current colour scheme was maintained.

According to the sources, the management of the national carrier proposed to make the colour of the planes white and keep the green stripe on the body. It has been suggested to do away with the badge colour strip under the Pakistani flag on the tail of the planes.

Besides other suggestions, mandatory writing of Pakistan on the planes was also suggested.
