Memon undergoes angioplasty after suffering cardiac arrest

Sources say Sindh information minister shifted to NICVD Hyderabad after he complained of chest pain

Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon underwent angioplasty at National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) Hyderabad after he reportedly suffered a heart attack.

Express News quoting sources reported on Saturday that the Sindh minister was shifted to the hospital after he complained of chest pain.

Sources said angiography was performed on Memon which diagnosed that two of his arteries were blocked. Subsequently, angioplasty was performed to implant two cardiac stents.

The hospital administration said that the provincial minister's condition is now better and he will be shifted home in the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the press conference scheduled to be held at Rawal House today has been postponed due to minister’s ill-health.
