Pakistan women's football team returned home on Friday, after bagging the second position in the Women's International Friendly Tournament – Saudi Arabia 2023.
The runner-up team of the international friendly tournament reached Lahore Airport from Dammam via Bahrain on a foreign airline flight. The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) officials were present at the airport to welcome the team.
Chairman of PFF Normalisation Committee Haroon Malik along with other NC members welcomed the national team at Football House, Lahore.

Pakistan Team stood 2nd in the Four-Nation cup. The green shirts beat Comoros in the first encounter, but the match against hosts Saudi Arabia ended up in a draw while they had to face a defeat against Mauritius in the second match on January 15th.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took to his official Twitter handle and congratulated the Pakistan women football team for standing 2nd.
"Special congratulations to Maria Khan for scoring this spectacular goal. We are working on policy to promote football and women’s sports in Pakistan," said the premier while sharing the clip of Khan’s goal against Saudi Arabia.
