Pakistan’s narrow foreign policy (II)

LONDON: In his article Ibrahim Sajid Malick’s proposes a regional solution to broaden Pakistan’s base of partners in the Internal arena.  His solution was given a shot in 1985, when the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (Saarc) was formed. However, over the years Saarc has remained a rubber stamp organisation that has not achieved much in terms of regional development. Building south-south relations makes for good rhetoric, but achieving it is a different story.
