Rescuers say the deceased suffocated due to smoke inhalation

MUZAFFARGARH:

Two poultry farm workers suffocated to death while sleeping in a room in Kot Addu on Wednesday.

Rescue 1122 sources said that the deceased lit a fire in the room to keep themselves warm. After going to sleep, the fire consumed the oxygen in the room, causing the victims to suffocate, the sources added.

Rescuers at Muzaffargarh Control Room dispatched a team and requested ambulances from Multan. When authorities reached the scene, they found both victims dead in the room.

The deceased were identified as 16-year-old Ibrahim and 26-year-old Ghulam Abbas.
