Weapons, ballot papers recovered from arrested individuals, claims police

KARACHI:

Police on Sunday arrested a number of PTI activists and leaders in Saeedabad and Shah Faisal Colony.

Saeedabad police arrested PTI leader Amjad Afridi with many activists.

The police claimed that weapons, bullets and ballot papers were recovered from the custody of Amjad Afridi.

According to the police, Amjad Afridi is accused of torturing the presiding officer of UC-13 Naval Colony Ward No1 Allied School Dr Sami.

In this regard, PTI regional official Mushtaq Afridi has alleged that police and workers of a political organisation attacked PTI workers in which Amjad Afridi's brother was also injured.

Meanwhile, PTI leader and MPA Adeel Ahmed were also detained by the police.

In this regard, PTI leader Jamal Siddiqui says, "Adeel Ahmed was detained on false and fabricated charges and shifted to Shah Faisal Colony police station. We strongly condemn his arrest."
