The Iman Vellani-starrer MCU series Ms. Marvel not only won people’s hearts last year but was also the best-reviewed superhero series of all, according to Rotten Tomatoes. The superhero series won the Golden Tomato Award for Best-Reviewed Superhero TV Series of 2022 and we couldn't be more proud of our first-ever desi MCU superhero.

Taking to Twitter, the show's co-creator Sana Amanat, shared the news with fans. "Best (Reviewed) Superhero Series?! I’ll take it!!" she wrote in response to a tweet that announced Ms. Marvel's win.  The show scored 98 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes and currently holds the highest score of any MCU show.

The website described the show as "a genuinely fresh addition to the MCU — both stylistically and substantively — with Iman Vellani ably powering proceedings with her super-sized charisma," as it ranked third for Best New Series of 2022 with House of the Dragon taking the first spot.

Rotten Tomatoes announced the RT Awards honouring the best-reviewed films of the year according to the website's rating system. The awards were later renamed the Golden Tomato Awards. The nominees and winners are announced on the website, although there is no actual awards ceremony.

Ms Marvel is helmed by Oscar-winning Pakistani filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Meera Menon, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah. Starring Pakistani and Indian actors such as Mehwish Hayat, Fawad Khan, Nimra Bucha, Farhan Akhtar, Vardah Aziz, Samina Ahmed and more, the desi-superhero series premiered on Disney+ last year in June.
