KARACHI:

Additional District and Sessions Judge Malir accepted the petition of reconciliation of three accused including Pakistan Peoples Party Member of Sindh Assembly Jam Owais in Nazim Jokhio murder case.

The judge gave a verdict on the petition of the accused regarding reconciliation with the relatives of the deceased in the Nazim Jokhio murder case.

Jam Owais and other accused appeared in the court. The court accepted the reconciliation petition of Jam Owais, Meraj Jokhio and Ahmed Khan. The court rejected the petition of two accused for reconciliation.

The court said in the verdict that the two suspects are accused of kidnapping, so the reconciliation request is rejected.

Accused Dudu Khan and Somar are released on the charge of murder, while the case of abduction of the deceased will be conducted against them.

Nazim Jokhio was tortured to death in November 2021. The police closed the case against PPP MNA on the basis of insufficient evidence.
