Commissioner inspects flour sale points

145,000 10 kilogramme bags of flour added to Bahawalpur's daily quota at 146 allocated sales pointas

BAHAWALPUR:

Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar and Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Zahid Parvez Waraich inspected flour sale points in different parts of the city.

Food Deputy Director Adnan Badr, Assistant Commissioner Bahawalpur City Dr Anam Fatima and Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Tayyab were also present on the occasion.

The commissioner and district administration officers inspected two flour mills and reviewed their stock, additionally visiting the flour sale point at Seraiki Chowk and overseeing the flour supply process. He further ordered that a proper supply of flour should be ensured at flour stalls.

It was stated that 145,000 10 kilogramme bags of flour were added to the daily quota of Bahawalpur, with bags available for Rs1,649 at allocated shops and 146 sales points.

Price control magistrates were taking action against those involved in the hoarding and overpricing of flour.
