Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) provided LPG cylinders to over 800 people in the city. Deputy Chief Engineer Operation SNGPL Hussain Zafar, while talking to the media on Sunday, said that the government has decided to provide LPG cylinders to citizens on their doorsteps at government rates.

He added that a sale point was established at SNGPL's main office and that citizens could get the cylinders by booking online or visiting the office. The one-time security payment of the cylinder was Rs7,500 with the price of 11 kilograms of LPG fixed by OGRA at Rs2,550.

The official further informed that an LPG refilling facility was also available, as departmental staff would deliver new cylinders overbooked by consumers. He added that they were working on opening new sale points across the city to facilitate citizens regarding LPG cylinders.

He said that RLNG was being provided to commercial and industrial consumers, with 140 consumers receiving these connections so far. He said that the gas connections of commercial consumers were suspended in winter and RLNG was being provided to them.
