Victim fatally shot posed resisting armed robbers

Muggers reportedly shot a factory owner dead on Thursday. As per the details, 65-year-old Khawaja Shajar Mehmood, a resident of Khayaban Colony 2 in Madina Town, built two power loom factories in the Small Estate Industry on Dawood Road. After renting it out, Mehmood set up an office in a portion of one of the factories

Last evening, he was present in the office when armed suspects forcibly entered his office with the intention of robbery.

When Mehmood resisted, they shot him in the head and left him critically injured, eventually succumbing to his injuries on the spot.

Upon receiving information about the incident, a contingent of police officers, including SP Madina Town Ahmed Zunair Cheema, DSP Nishatabad Saifullah Bhatti and SHO Nishatabad Sheikh Shoaib, reached the spot and shifted the body to Allied Hospital’s mortuary unit.

The deceased is survived by two daughters who reside in Faisalabad and two sons residing in Australia.
