The first cross-border fashion faceoff of the year is here and we love to see it! Indian model Sonam Bajwa wore a gorgeous ivory ensemble by Pakistani designer Hussain Rehar and actor Hania Aamir was also seen wearing the same outfit at a wedding last month.
Styling the same number with different accessories, the divas not only grabbed the eyeballs of fashion connoisseurs but also became the talk of the town. Here is a breakdown of their super stunning looks.
Rehar took to Instagram to document his first sale across the border. “This dusky beauty in white has once again won our heart over from across the border,” he captioned the post featuring Bajwa and mentioned the details of her outfit.
“Our graceful ivory ensemble Yakamoz with angrakh-styled neckline worn by the gorgeous Sonam Bajwa is from our bestselling Moon in the golden cup collection,” he added. The ace designer described the fit as the perfect one for all intimate events – and we agree!
Bajwa kept her gorgeous straight locks open with a middle parting and accessorised the dress with oversized, layered pearl jhumkas. A few plain silver rings, subtle dewy makeup, a pink pout and bronze khussas completed her look.
On the other hand, Aamir chose Rehar’s creation for a close friend’s wedding in December. Unlike Bajwa, the Parde Mein Rehne Do actor wore her hair up in a sleek bun and ditched the jhumkas for a statement butterfly earring. Keeping her makeup subtle, Aamir completed the look with nude heels and red nail polish to bring a pop of colour to the otherwise muted ensemble.
One thing in common? The two of them draped the organza dupatta over their shoulders in the same way!
