Over a thousand employees with severely damaged homes in Sindh have been given an additional salary as financial assistance package by the NADRA chairman.
“We ahve tighten our belt, introduced austerity measures and cut expenses to help our brothers and sisters, instead of looking at govt or foreign donors for assistance” said NADRA Chairman Tariq Malik during a visit to NRCs Pir Jo Goth, Larkana and Khairpur on Tuesday.
Around 57 NADRA offices were completely badly damaged due to massive rain and flood, which were repaired by NADRA and renovated using its own funds. The NADRA chairman inspected some reconstructed houses.
Considering the difficulties of the general public, an additional mobile registration van was deployed near flood-affected areas. The registration operations continued without any interruption in flood-stricken areas. NADRA Office Peer Jo Goth has been completely renovated with new technical equipment and opened for public service today in a short span of 4 months.
Three one-window counters have been set up at the NADRA office Peer Jo Goth, with the help of which ID cards of more than 170 people can be processed in a day.
