If you are an avid Bollywood fanatic, your 2000s fashion statements must have been clouded by some iconic outfits donned by Indian divas. 

Be it Kareena Kapoor Khan's Geet, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's Paro in Devdas, or Sushmita Sen's Ms Chandni in Main Hoon Na - each star had contributed to the list of most iconic Bollywood looks of all time! 

Now, Twitter has brought together a list of outfits worn by an "actress in a Bollywood film that instantly comes to your mind when you think of an iconic, era-defining piece of costume."

Many resonated with Deepika's understated look in Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan-starrer, Piku. A user shared, "For me, it has to be Piku. Her style is soo understated, elegant and classy. The bindi and the comfy kurtas really made ethnic wear cooler." 

One more added, "Short sighted take but Deepika's Badtameez Dil saree. It was everywhere for a year or so."

Another shared, "This immediately made me think of Deepika’s sarees in YJHD (this and the blue one!) for a full two years everyone at every school I knew was wearing it for their farewells and there were imitation copies of it in everyone’s closet."

Of course, there was Kareena Kapoor Khan

Kareena Kapoor Khan's Geet could be touted as one of the well-fleshed-out characters to have been ever written! Her style book was just as good. 

One added, "This wasn't done by just one actress and yes, Kareena did it first, but all of them carried this beautifully, which led to this becoming India's favourite college girl outfit. Even today you would see every other girl in her 20s wearing it."

A user shared Alia's look from 2 States is one of her favourites! "Has to be Alia Bhatt from 2 States. Pretty surprised nobody’s mentioned it, but she majorly wore Indian clothes and those truly defined what most young college-going girls would wear. From the Kurtis to long skirts, beautiful outfits," she penned.

One tweep shared the former Miss World's regal looks throughout the years and commented how she "still dream of these lenghas" Aishwarya wore in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.
