Christmas celebrated amid strict security

Over 6,000 police officers were deployed for the occasions

Capital City Police Officer Lahore (CCPO) Ghulam Mahmood Dogar lauded the performance of Lahore Police for ensuring foolproof security arrangements on the eves of Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas.

He acknowledged the efforts of all wings of Lahore Police, including Traffic Police, Dolphin Squad and the Police Response Unit, for devising a strategy and plan of action to stop antisocial elements from disturbing the peace and maintaining law and order in the city.

Over 6,000 police officers were deployed for the occasions. CCPO Lahore directed DIG and SSP Operations and all divisional SPs to remain in the field and personally ensure implementation of the devised security plan. Accordingly, stringent security arrangements were made on the eves of Quaid's Day and Christmas.

Special contingents of Dolphin Squad and PRU were deployed at churches, parks, Christmas Bazars and other important public places, who ensured continuous and effective patrolling. Due to the stringent security arrangements of Lahore Police no untoward incident occurred in the city and law and situation remained in control.
