LAHORE:

In a major crackdown on the smugglers of foreign currency particularly dollars, the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Corporate Circle has conducted a raid at Japan Centre located on Cooper Road in Lahore.

Two agents involved in the illegal sale and purchase of foreign currency as well as the illegal practices of hundi and hawala were arrested.

A hefty sum of foreign currency, especially dollars, were recovered from their possession.

Besides, several shops involved in the illegal sale and purchase of foreign currency were sealed during the raid.

The arrested men were booked under different charges.
