The Sindh government has decided to take action against 50 corrupt officers and the chief secretary has also approved the investigation against them.

According to the details received by The Express Tribune, an anti-corruption meeting was held with Sindh Chief Secretary (CS) Sohail Rajput in the chair.

In the meeting, the chief secretary approved the action and registration of FIR against the officers involved in corruption done in New Sindh Secretariat project and various other projects.

In this regard, an open inquiry was approved against former deputy director food Nasrullah Chandio, former DFC Khairpur Irfan Jokhio for disappearance of 40,000 sacks of wheat in Sitharja, Sobhu Dero, Chondko.

On the other hand, corruption inquiry was approved against food inspector Mukhtiar Hesbani and Irshad Kalhoro.
