Passengers escape unhurt in bus fire

In another incident, waste catches fire in cotton factory burning entire stock

Fire broke out on a passenger bus due to a short circuit.

Nobody was hurt. However, panic gripped the passengers who jostled with each other in getting out of the bus.

Rescue teams reached the spot and brought the fire under control.

The bus of a well-known company had been on its way to Multan. When it passed by the football ground near the Samandari Road, a fire broke out in the undercarriage of the bus due to a short circuit.

Seeing the flames, the driver stopped the bus alongside the kerb while the passengers scrambled off the bus, some of them crying out of fear.

Three rescue vehicles reached the spot and brought the fire under control.

Meanwhile, waste spread over four kanals of land in a cotton factory on Nadwala Road, Ghulam Mohammadabad No. 2, caught fire. The fire burnt the entire stock of cotton to ashes.
