Netflix's highly popular documentary, Harry & Meghan has left a mark on people, not just for revealing startling details about the royal institution, but also for showing the traumatic impact of paparazzi culture and clickbait journalism.
In one scene of the six-episode docu-series, Meghan criticised Buckingham palace for remaining mum while she continued to suffer constant cyberbullying and slandering from tabloids. Referring to the UK press as predators, she said, "I wasn't being thrown to the wolves, I was being fed to the wolves."
The royal duo's heartbreaking story has touched the hearts of many, including celebrities in Pakistan. Taking to Twitter, actor and activist Ushna Shah lauded Meghan for her resilience throughout the alleged abuse.
"Netflix's Harry and Megan was necessary. The media can be so beyond cruel and Meghan dealt with it at a level we can't even begin to fathom. My heart goes out to that incredibly brave, intelligent, soft-spoken and beautiful woman," noted the Habs actor.

In another post, Khadijah Shah, the founder and Creative Director of Pakistan's leading luxury brand Elan compared UK's press to Pakistan's news agencies, stating that all media institutions defame people with hidden agendas.
"Meghan and Harry is the biggest documentary debut for Netflix. It's been a resounding success. Much like Pakistani media, it's not hard to see now how the couple were maligned for specific purposes," she said.

Harry & Meghan notched up 81.55 million viewing hours in its first four days of release, according to Netflix.
This is the "most view hours of any documentary series in a launch week," according to a press statement summarising the streaming giant's top-performing shows for the week ending December 11.
Directed by Oscar nominee Liz Garbus, it’s the first series produced by the Sussexes under a commercial agreement with Netflix. Archewell Productions, the duo’s production company, is set to premiere another Netflix series, Heart of Invictus in 2023.
