PTI lawmakers decry non-issuance of production orders of Senator Azam Swati

Another sitting of the upper house of parliament was marred by protest on Thursday as the PTI senators protested over the non-issuance of Azam Swati's production orders.

The protesting lawmakers surrounded Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani's dice and raised slogans.

Earlier, Opposition Leader Shahzad Waseem sought permission to speak. When the chair directed for proceedings to continue, the opposition members stood up from their seats, and demanded the issuance of Swati's production orders.

During the uproad, the minister of state for law presented a bill, which was entrusted to the relevant committee by the chair.

As opposition members surrounded the chairman's dice and raised slogans, Sanjrani adjourned the meeting till 10:30 am on Friday morning.
