Well over a thousand students thronged a job fair in the garrison city on Thursday and nearly 500 hundred of them were lucky enough to hunt jobs in their respective fields.
According to a statement, a large number of students with backgrounds in various fields turned up to gain awareness and look for jobs.
The job fair was conducted by Punjab Toyota at the Government College of Technology.
More than 35 national and multinational companies set up their stalls at the fair to provide jobs to the students of Toyota institutes.
The statement further said the one-day job fair was dedicated to the highly-educated unemployed women.
At the outset, Punjab Toyota Chief Operating Officer Ahmed Khawar Shehzad inaugurated the job fair by cutting the ribbon.
Toyota Operations Director General Aamir Aziz, Additional Director General Muaz Saleem, and representatives of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry were also present at the ceremony.
Chief operating officer Ahmed Khawar Shahzad said this is the sixth event of Toyota that aimed to establish a connection between highly educated youth and various companies.
