KARACHI:

The Parliamentary Leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) in the Sindh Assembly, Khuram Sher Zaman met the Managing Director of Sui Southern Gas Company at the utility's head office on Wednesday. Members of Assembly including Arsalan Taj, Shahnawaz Jadoon, Rabistan Khan, Shahzad Qureshi and others also accompanied him.

In the meeting the PTI delegation discussed the gas loadshedding, low pressure and other technical issues in Karachi. Later talking to the media people outside the SSGC office, Khurram Sherzaman said that besides the issue of load shedding and low pressure, the matter of increase in gas price also came under discussion.

He said, the MD was informed that despite the beginning of winter, there is a load shedding at homes and CNG stations and industrial units. Despite the increase in tariff, people are not getting gas. He said that Sindh accounts for 74 per cent of the country's gas production, but only 38 per cent of gas is supplied to Sindh.

Talking about Faryal Talpur case, Member of Assembly Arslan Taj said that after three years the decision on the case has come from the ECP. The case pertains to three properties in Kambar Shahdadkot, Ratodero.

Faryal Talpur bought these lands in the month of March in 2017. All details are submitted while submitting the nomination papers. Faryal Talpur did not mention about these properties in it. In June 2019, we submitted an application to the Speaker of Sindh Assembly and also wrote a letter ECP but no action was taken.
