Woman, son held over alleged murder

After finding clues about the suspects’ involvement, they were arrested and confessed to the crime

LAHORE:

A woman and her son were arrested for allegedly murdering their neighbor and dumping the body into a canal in Manga Mandi on Monday. The suspects reportedly stuffed the body into a sack and transported it to the canal on a donkey cart.

Reportedly, the victim Perveen Bibi alias Shaheen left her house to buy domestic use items, however she did not return home and her family began searching for her. They registered an abduction case against unidentified suspects.

The suspected woman and her son, identified as Zahida Perveen and Qalb-e-Abbass respectively, actually participated in the search with the victim’s family members. They also escorted the family to the police station under the pretext of supporting their neighbors in such a difficult time.

After finding several clues as to the suspects’ involvement, they were arrested and confessed to the crime during interrogation.
