KARACHI:

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Karachi organised an awareness walk on International Anti-Corruption Day on Saturday.

The Day is observed every year on December 9 under the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC).

According to details, in compliance with Chairman NAB, Aftab Sultan’s directive the awareness walk started from Chunky Monkey to AK Khan Park Sea View, Clifton Karachi.

DG NAB Karachi Javed Akbar Riaz (PSP) led the walk. NAB officers and a large number of citizens from all walks of life, including educationist, philanthropists, Sindh Boys Scouts and representatives of government departments. Addressing the occasion, DG NAB Karachi highlighted the importance of public awareness about the ill and serious effects of corruption. He said that NAB has intensified its operations against the corruption for the past few years and is trying its best to root out this scourge.
