SHC acquits man convicted of raping stepdaughter

Sindh High Court (SHC) accepted the appeal against the conviction of the stepfather in the case of alleged rape of his 11-year-old daughter and annulled the sentence of the subordinate court.
According to details, the High Court ruled on the appeal against the conviction of a stepfather for allegedly raping his 11-year-old daughter.
As the prosecution failed to prove the crime, the court accepted the appeal and acquitted the accused Sajid Khan. The SHC annulled the sentence given to the accused by the subordinate court. The subordinate court had sentenced the accused to 10 years imprisonment.
In the final verdict, the court said that the accused should be released from jail if he is not wanted in any other case.
According to the prosecution, Additional District and Sessions Judge Sharqi sentenced the accused on April 6, 2021. The plaintiff's Lawyer had stated before the court that the witness of the case is not an eyewitness.
