The Human Rights Council Pakistan (HRCP) and Palestine Foundation Pakistan (PFP) organised a protest demonstration at Frere Hall to mark the International Human Rights Day in support of Palestine and Kashmir against human rights abuses.
The demonstration was led by prominent Kashmiri leaders Bashir Khan Saduzai, Jamshed Hussain and Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam.
Pakistan Awami Tehreek Karachi President Saqib Naushahi, Sikh leaders Mughan Singh, Younis Siyani and Fatima Memon were also present on the occasion. In addition, Nida Basharat, Sarwar Ali, Sana Butt and others of Youth Forum for Kashmir also participated in the protest.
The speakers said that while the United Nations has announced to observe the International Human Rights Day, it is unable to stop the violations of the rights of the oppressed people around the world. They maintained that human rights violations are continuing around the world under American patronage. Be it Kashmir or Palestine and similarly in Yemen and other countries, the atrocities of global Zionist leaders continue across the world, they said.
