Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Secretary Dr Irshad Ahmad has promised the payment of salary to the janitorial staff of the Sheikhupura District Headquarters Hospital, ordered removal of garbage and called for early completion of the construction of a trauma centre.

The secretary paid surprise visits to four health facilities in the Sheikhupura and Nankana Sahib districts.

During his visit to the Sheikhupura DHQ Hospital, he directed the management to dispose of all garbage lying there.

Hailing the return of the hospital’s janitorial staff to duty after a strike, he said their salary would be paid by the Project Management unit (PMU) within a couple of days.
