On Tuesday, veteran actor Saba Faisal took to Instagram and announced her family has severed ties from her son Salman Faisal and his wife of four years, Neha Salman. Now, the actor has uploaded another video on the aforementioned micro-blogging website, requesting her audience stop passing “judgmental comments” on her distressing situation.

"Thank you so much for your support and prayers. I'm also extremely grateful for everyone who stood in solidarity with me during this difficult time," started the Taqdeer actor. "Family ties are not made for competition but are born out of love. Therefore, it doesn't matter who wins or loses the argument."

Saba then continued to make a heartfelt plea to her audience. She said, "As a mother, I request everyone to stop making crass comments about either party in the future. Neither do I want them [Salman and Nida] to receive more backlash, nor do I wish to see more judgmental remarks about myself online."

Moving on, the Habs actor elaborated on her choice to share her family's situation on social media. "I shared my trauma with everyone in public because I was repressing it inside for the past four years. I could not openly express my emotions before as it was the cost of gaining my stardom, respect, money, and status in life. This is the price we artists have to pay for being in the public eye," conveyed Saba.

Before ending the video, Saba asked her listeners to empathise with artists as they all have a "dark side," which they never reveal to the public. "I have highlighted a big issue: artists have all the fame, money, and status, but the expense of gaining these luxuries is far greater," concluded the Rehbra actor.
